Project: 'Way Back' journal spread

Project: 'Way Back' journal spread

This journal spread was inspired by my Dear Taylor washi tape. When I designed this tape, I wanted to capture the essence of old handwritten letters—meaningful notes once sent to family and friends, near and far, filled with cherished memories and life updates, all with a personal touch that’s hard to replicate today in a text or email. A moment in time, preserved on paper.

The soft brown tones and vintage photograph with the carefree boys add a warm, nostalgic touch to these pages. The PET tape I used, called Overlays (matte version), works beautifully for adding those extra grungy details.

I hope you’re feeling inspired to create something of your own. There’s truly no right or wrong when it comes to art journaling—it’s all about exploring, trying different things, and enjoying the process! I’ve linked all the products I used in this spread below, in case you’d like to try them out in your next project.
